A mochila is not an off-the-shelf product. It is the result of weeks of patient handwork — and a tradition passed down across generations.
The thread
The weaver chooses the colours and begins at the base of the bag, working from the centre outward.
The pattern
Row by row the kaana takes shape — a geometric figure that carries a meaning.
The strap
Finally the gaza strap is braided and sewn to the body. Every mochila is signed.
